ASPIRE Shared Education trip to Wonderful Wild Ireland

30th Mar 2026

The children from both of our nursery classes had a fantastic Shared Education adventure today as we joined our friends from Galliagh Nursery School for an exciting visit to Wild Ireland, Burnfoot, Donegal!

During our visit, the children explored the beautiful animal sanctuary and learned about:
animal habitats; conservation and protection – discovering how Wild Ireland rescues and cares for animals, giving them a safe home; Irish wildlife and history – learning about species that once roamed Ireland and the work being done to preserve native animals and caring for our world – recognising the importance of kindness, respect, and responsibility towards all living things.

Our Shared Education partnership made the day even more special. Children from both schools played, explored, asked questions, and learned together — building friendships, cooperation skills, and a strong sense of community.

A wonderful day filled with curiosity, collaboration, and connection.

Thank you very much to all our parent volunteers and the staff at Wild Ireland for helping make this visit fun, safe and engaging.
